Christmas 2014

  We had an extremely busy Christmas.  Christmas Day,  there were 12 of
us.  Five of our seven Grand daughters were with us.  Jordan came home
with his Chelsea and was with us for Christmas.  We did dinner with
him and Chelsea on Saturday.  Sunday we were blessed with ten of our
friends from church, joining us for dinner.  I think I did more cooking in
four days than I have in a year.  It was well worth it!!!  We have a fridge
full of leftovers, and loads of memories.  Jordan and Chelsea are now
safely back in Kansas City, with their fur kid, Levi.  We thank the Lord
for all of our blessings.  We miss our other kids out in Washington, but
we were in touch with them.  Wishing you all a Happy New Year!!!

Resting

We were blessed with a wonderful Christmas Day.  Unfortunately, I was
too aware of my age, with all the physical ouches that I have today.  It is
good having a "down" day to rest.  We are watching King Kong, and
just relaxing with Jordan and Crystal.  More cooking tomorrow, but
it's nice having kids home again. 

Yeppers...sanity...what's that???

Memories of Our Little Girl

 

  Our little fur kid, Scruffy loved Christmas so we always think of her

when it comes around.  We lost her in Sept. three years ago.  Our fur

friends are gifts from God, bringing undeserved love.

Crayons, My Favorite Gift!

 

My earliest memories of Christmas are searching through all my presents in the morning, sniffing them to find my new box of crayons.  That box would last me the whole year, and when one broke, it was a major disaster.  As an artist, crayons were my main source of color.  When I saw this picture, it almost brought tears to my eyes.  How very true is this, and how touching..  I love it!!!

Wisdom From A Friend

I just saw this on my friend's e-mail.

  "I may not be Wonder Woman, but I certainly do things that will make
    you wonder.

I'm sure my friends and family will all agree that it's me for sure...love it!!!

West Coast Views

 

 

We took a trip to the ocean while visiting our kids in July.  The view from the park was amazing.  The West coast is so much different from ours in the East.

 

 

 

 

If you look closely, you can see people on the beach.  It gives you some perspective of how high we were.  So beautiful here.  The mount in the

distance in the water is called Haystack Mt.



 

Guardian Crow

 

We were in Mumbai, India in a hotel and when we woke in the morning 

our "guardian crow" was on the patio to greet us.  They follow us everywhere we go.

Spiritual Orbs???

 

  I was searching for photos from my India file and noticed these for

the first time.  It is at the Taj Mahal, and no other photos before or

after these have the "orbs" on them.  Many say these are spirits that

the film captures.  I have no clue, but there surely are a lot of them.

My Parents

  My parents had this photo taken at the time of their engagement in 1946ish.  She was so beautiful, and he was very "James Deanish".  This is my favorite photo of them.

Our Scruffy Dog

 

Scruffy was a wonderful little dog.  We will never forget her, or stop loving her.  She left us in September of 2011.
