Truth!
People who are "intimidated" by you talk bad about you with hopes that others won't find you so appealing. (and make them look as small as they really are)
Geranium
Watercolor, this was my very first painting that I did in the 80's and it's still one of my most popular ones. It lives in Washington state with my daughter. Yes, it is my banner above.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CHIP!!
It's hard to believe my son is 43 today. Seems like only yesterday (boy isn't that an old lady phrase) he was a little fuzzy-headed baby. Love you son!!!

Dancer Resting
I did this oil painting of a caribou. It is quite large and is framed in a cherry distressed frame. The original is available. I learned that they are caribou in the wild, and reindeer when they are tamed.
Grand dog Ruby
Ruby, my Grand Pup, is almost 2, what a cutey! She is very large and extremely active, which makes her puppy-like. This is not always the best thing for inside of the house. She lives on a lovely farm in Battleground, Washington with her other critter sibs. She loves to watch over the farm animals, and to help out whenever she can to chase off hawks and eagles. She is an amazing deer alarm also. Ruby is very loveable and loyal to all of her family.
Grand dog Stella
Stella is 4 years old. She has had deformed front legs since birth, but they
don't stop her from running after balls, sticks and rocks. She also loves to
swim in the pond. What a wonderful dog she is. She is so close to human
that it is eerie.
Grand daughter Eve
Eve is 18 and just graduated from High School. She will be taking some classes at the local college while she decides what her major will be. Eve loves gardening, mostly vegetables, and also has prize dahlias (seen on a
post below). Eve is talented in many areas and is such a charming young woman.
Grand daughter Ann
Ann is 15 and looks very much like my Mom, which is a good thing! She is a very talented writer and is also very interested in film making.
Little Fang
Every Halloween I dig out this photo. I just love black cats and this one
totally cracks me up with his little toofs and wings.
2nd Favorite Verse
Years ago I went to a women's retreat with my church sisters. I had just been in a session that encouraged us to sit quietly outside and listen for
God to tell us something. All I kept getting was this verse. About an
hour later, I fell on a cement floor causing a very serious concussion. It
was eight weeks later that I was finally able to return to life as I knew it.
Those of you who know me will understand why I NEED this verse! It
has ministered to me many times over the years and will continue to do
so for the rest of them.

Jordan & Chelsea's Proposal
Our youngest son, Jordan proposed to Chelsea on April 17, 2014 in front of a Monet "Water Lilies" painting in the Nelson Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. Wedding will be on June 13, 2015. We visited there in July and
I enjoyed just sitting in front of this gorgeous work of art, and taking in all the colors. I could only think that Monet himself had put them on there.
I was surprised that there was nothing to keep us from touching it. So gorgeous! He has always been one of my favorites.
Number One Fur Kid
My Hoots Cat is about 13 years old. He just showed up here one day in the summer of 2002, and hasn't left since. He is slowing down a bit, but still manages to get an occasional mole or mouse to bring me as a prize. He usually isn't this grumpy looking, but I woke him from his nap. I try not to spoil him, but being a crazy cat lady, it's hard to do anything less.
This is Hoots' favorite place to be in the summer. He has one rocker and I have the other. Sometimes he shares with his Dad, but not too often.
My Baby, Hoots Cat
I have been doing a cute overload of critters on here. I have 4 more sweet grand cats, but don't have photos of them at this point. So, I'll give you a
break and will only post one more photo of my cat, Hoots. We have 5 living outside right now, but they aren't officially my cats.

Grand Cat Ezmaralda
Grand cat, Ezmaralda Hanlin, lives in Battleground, Washington. She has
just recently become an explorer of the outside. Ez is Mommy's girl but is
also very, very fond of her Daddy.
Grand Cat, Precious
Precious Hanlin (grand cat) lives in Battleground, Washington with her Mommy, Annie. I guess that would make her my Great-grand cat. Oh my!
She is also very loved, and very very energetic, and extremely inquisitive. Like all the rest of them, just a tad spoiled. She too has only recently found the outside world to be an adventure. Unfortunately, she loves the bird feeder a bit too much. Such a charmer!!!
My sanctuary, this is where I am right now. My daughter and her family
live on this gorgeous farm in Washington State. I try to get out here at
least 3 times a year for two weeks. I am here now, enjoying the beauty
in spite of the Fall rains. I helped to harvest 4 turkeys(there were 14) this trip. It brought back memories of all the years helping my parents to harvest chickens for the freezer. This farm has 6 pigs, 30ish layer chickens, 2 gorgeous German Shepherds, 2 steers, and 2 darling cats. I'm sad to say
that we lost our little boy cat, Rufus, this morning to a kidney disease.
It has been a sad time for us all. This farm is gorgeous and I will be posting photos often from here.
Taj Mahal Was Our Favorite Vacation
We visited India in 2009. The Taj was at the very last stop before we flew
home. We got up and arrived there before sunrise so we could see the sun shining through the marble on the building. It is a light pink color. It all seems dreamlike now, but we have the photos to remind us of it all.
Welcome
Welcome to my new blog, thanks to my super intelligent grand daughter,
Eve. She has the patience of a saint when it comes to dealing with a Gram
who has very little computer savvy. I'm looking forward to having you as
my online friend, sharing our interests and our hobbies with one another.

"Dad's Bible" Oil Painting
"Dad's Bible" is an oil painting that I painted as a gift to my husband.
My subjects were various items from or family. It lives at our house.
Cougar Painting
"Cougar" is an oil painting that lives in Virginia Beach with my friend, Sue.
I painted it to go with her southwest theme, but it turned out to be my favorite painting.
Eve's Dahlia
I am proud to start my new blog with my Grand daughter's amazing dahlia. This one is called
Melissa M. She sells the tubers on her website: peculiar ambitions.com in the spring. Wouldn't
it be fun to have this amazing color in your garden?
