Three of my favorite paintings...

This painting hangs in the little church that I grew up in.  All my memories
as a child had this image in them.  My first marriage took place in front of
it also.  It is "Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane" by Heinrich Hofmann and was painted in 1892.

" Annunciation" by Henry Ossawa Tanner...I love the details in this...my friend and mentor, Ethel, had an encounter with an angel and this is how she described it to me...amazing!!!

A print of this is in my studio for inspiration.  It's "Gethsemane" by Carl
Bloch.  So touching, I feel it truly was this way.

Strange Week...

One moment I was going about life, and then in one turn, I was feeling
ill.  I managed to get home and to my chair before it hit me like a ton
of bricks.  I spent from 6 pm till 6 am violently losing my stomach.  I
can't ever remember being that sick.  So now it's two days later and I
have finally lost the nausea, but my insides are sore like I've been beaten.
I'm taking things slowly, eating little, drinking lots, and resting.  Life
goes on, and sometimes we just can't keep up with it.  Resting now,
and letting things heal.  There is an epidemic here, and I'm praying
for all those who are weaker than me, who have it.   On to the next
exciting episode of life.

Always Remember

Elephant Ride Red Fort India

Those first moments on an elephant, quite a thrill...

India 2005

My trip to India was a very special...I call this my halo photo.  The only time I wore native garb, it was so very uncomfortable, but it was a fun experience.
