Friends for Sure

It's AUGUST!!!

As I said last month, the summer is speeding past us.  We had a yard sale
planned for August, but had to put it off till September.  There just seemed
to be something every weekend to keep us from working on it. Too much
to clean out without some muscle help.  Working on it though.

Aunt Toot (Norma Jean) made it through the surgery fine, but had a lot of
trouble getting her mental faculties back to normal.  She is doing great now!
She is in Cross Keys Brethren Home for her rehab.  We are expecting
her to be home in a few days.  The prognosis is good with some radiation.
We just have to get her built up a bit first,.

The family is doing good, as far as we hear.  We haven't seen them since
the wedding.  We did have an evening with Chip's gang for Megan's birthday, but the others have just had busy summers.  I'm still hoping to
get a trip West in before Winter comes.

Sam got a call today with JFC Staffing in Camp Hill.  That's where the
engineering/design jobs are processed.  There are three resumes out now
for over a week and we are just continuing to "wait" for the next step on them.  One of my wise friends said, "life is a waiting room".  So right Cathy!!!  I like the NIV version of the Isaiah eagle verse because it says,
"they that HOPE on the Lord", while others say "WAIT".  I do hope way
better than wait.  We know the Lord has us, it's just the journey to the end
of the process that can get scary.  Let's face it, we never know what we will
be allowed to go through to fine tune us.  Hoping!!!

Hoping to enjoy August and what's left of summer.  My Dad would have
been 90 on the first.  Hard to believe that he and Mom are gone for eight years.
