ALMOST SPRING

Unlike the ground hog, the skunk is much more dependable to predict Spring.  Skunks are all over
the place.  Weather is fairly mild now,  but the beginning of March can bring anything.  Last year
my tulips were in bloom when the snow came.  They managed to survive and even rebloomed.
They are up, no blooms yet, and daffodils are too. It's been very cloudy, chilly and gloomy, but
anything is possible this time of the year.  Winter has been one of much sickness, a stroke scare
for Sam, and much lost time and energy.  A trip to Washington is planned for early April.  Sam
was to go along, but sickness took too much of his time off.  August brings his one year anniversary
at his job, and 2 weeks off.  Our trip has now been moved to September, around Labor Day.

I lost my Aunt Norma Jean, or Toot as we called her.  She passed on Feb. 2nd.  Uncle Jerry, her
husband of 62 years is learning slowly to get through his days without his best friend.  We're doing
all that we can to help him along the way.

No art has been accomplished this winter, mostly idleness...not good.  Hoping for a more productive
spring and summer.
